Mangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited ( MESCOM ltd ) has published an advertisement for the post of Assistant Lineman. No. of Posts – 346( Electrician – 173 and Electronics/Electronic Mechanic – 173 )
Electrician – 173 ( General – 89, Rural quota- 46, Ex-Military – 12, Kannada Medium - 06, Project Displaced - 06, Physically Handicapped - 14 )
Electronics / Electronic Mechanic – 173 ( General – 87, Rural quota – 44, Ex-Military – 20, Kannada Medium – 09, Project Displaced – 07 and Physically Handicapped – 06 )
Salary: – Selected applicants will be paid Rs. 7,950 – 16,790 /- per month
Age limit – Applicants’ age must be between 18 years and 35 years as on last date of receipt of application. SC / ST and Category – I candidates will be given relaxation of 5 years and Category IIA, IIB, IIIA and IIIB candidates will be given relaxation of 3 years in maximum age
Requisite Qualification: – Applicants who have passed 18/24 months course in Electrician / Electronics / Electronic Mechanic trade from any Industrial Training Institutions recognized by government of Karnataka can apply. 60% marks should be obtained by General Candidates and only pass marks should be obtained by SC/ST candidates.
Application Fee: – Applicants are requested to pay Rs. 400/- ( Rs. 200/- for SC/ST candidates) through Bank Challan in any branch of Corporation Bank. Applicants can get challan from below given web link ” Get Challan”.
Selection Process: – Applicants will be selected on the said post on the basis of performance in ‘Endurance Test’ in which following events occurs. Applicants who will qualify in each section will be selected as Assistant Lineman.
i. 100 meters running should be completed within 14 seconds
ii. Skipping 50 times within one minute
iii. Shot put 12 pounds – 8 meters throw ( 3 chances )
iv. Climbing of Electric Pole of 8 meters’ height.
v. 800 meters running should be completed within 3 minutes.
