World Car Fans received this video uploaded onto You Tube by That Racing Channel of an alleged gold-plated Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
The world’s first gold-plated supercar was apparently unveiled at Miami Beach, Florida recently and belongs to none other than the CEO of Lamborghini Miami, Brett David.
However, because no other information was provided about the preparation of the vehicle and also because it appears very smooth and shiny, the car is believed to be a foil wrap.

Also take note of the lack of security and the bird landing on the car’s roof and you’ll probably also come to the conclusion that this may not be real and that there isn’t a single piece of real gold in sight.

If that was my Lambo on display, I’d have it encased in bullet proof glass with 24/7 security.

Lamborghini To Hold Track Day At Buddh

Lamborghini has become very serious about the Indian market. While at one end of the spectrum, the car market might be in doldrums, at the other end, sales of luxury and sports cars are increasing. Today there are almost all big supercar makers present in India, with Volkswagen deciding to take over Porsche imports and Ferrari launching its complete range. Now Lamborghini doesn’t want to be left behind and is planing to sell 50 cars a year by 2015. The Italian automaker recently opened its second India showroom in Mumbai.
However Lamborghini has a very different strategy to sell its supercars. The company will reach out to customers in tier-II and tier-III cities and does not plan to open a showroom in small cities yet. Last year Lamborghini sold 14 cars in the Indian market, while this year they are touted to sell close to 20 cars. In order to attract customer, Lamborghini will be inviting 15 select customers to drive the Lamborghini cars at the Buddh Internation Circuit. This track day will give prospective customers a chance to get behind the wheel of the bull for almost an hour and will be held every year in December.
The Italian automaker will start off its promotional activities by holding exclusive Lamborghini showcases at 5-star hotels in Pune and Ahmedabad. The company also plans to bring in its engineers and designers from Italy, to interact with prospective customers. Current owners will be given a chance to participate in competitive races in the coming year, thereby giving them the chance to witness their cars on the track. Lamborghini sells the Gallardo pried at Rs. 2.5 – 3.2 crore and the Aventador priced at Rs. 4.2 crore. The company is betting big on the Lamborghini Urus SUV to boost sales as Indians love SUVs more than anything.

Lamborghini Urus Will Be World’s Most Powerful SUV

The time has finally arrived when the Italian svelte car maker, Lamborghini has unveiled their brand new super SUV concept, the Urus. Earlier, Lamborghini was always of the opinion that it wouldn’t build anything close to an SUV and would always stick to their 2-door sports cars. But the company stunned the world when it got leaked that Lamborghini will be actually unveiling an SUV at the ongoing Beijing Motor Show. The word “Urus” is a Spanish breed of bull that sits somewhere between fighting size and hauling size.

Codenamed LB736, the Lamborghini Urus concept is a part of an upcoming Volkswagen Group premium SUV on-slaught. Although the Lamborghini Urus concept has be unveiled at Beijing, but company officials say that the official debut of the car might not happen before 2015 which is the reason why complete details about the vehicle have not been provided to the media. But some things are certain; the Lamborghini Urus is a 4X4 SUV with just over 600 BHP of power, stretched slightly over 8 inches than the Aventador and in a price range of $200,000 and no diesel engine.

Lamborghini has committed that the Urus would be the most powerful production SUV ye and also least polluting in CO2 emissions. In terms of competition, the Lamborghini Urus is expected to rival the likes of BMW X6M, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport and the Porsche Cayenne. Lamborghini has high motorsport aims from the Urus as well and expects it might end up running the Dakar Rally. We eagerly await for more details on this stunning SUV.

Lamborghini Urus SUV leaked before Beijing unveil

If you are one among the many automotive enthusiasts who were unhappy when Porsche launched the Cayenne SUV a decade back, this is bad news. More still, if you are one among those who hated the polarizing Bentley EXP 9F Concept SUV when it was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, you will hate this too. Lamborghini, the Italian supercar manufacturer owned by Volkswagen, is planning to diversify into the Sport Utility Vehicle segment. Yes, you read it right. If reports circulating in the media are to be believed, the SUV is to be unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show shortly and is most likely to be christened Urus. ‘Why Lamborghini, why?’ you may ask. The answer is simple. These days, if an auto manufacturer has to be profitable, they need to have an expensive SUV in their line-up with a fat profit margin. The Porsche Cayenne, that was criticised at launch for ‘killing’ the image of Porsche is now the largest selling and most profitable model in the company’s lineup.

With stunning super-cars like the Gallardo and Aventador in fray, it has to be seen how the Urus SUV will fit into the Lamborghini line-up. Glance through the leaked images and it is clear that the Urus has tried to incorporate the trademark muscular styling elements that Lambos are famous for, albeit in a taller and wider stance. The sharp-cut headlamps, massive 22-inch wheels, steeply raked glasshouse in the profile and quad exhaust pipes give the Urus an imposing presence. The Volkswagen Touareg that currently underpins the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7 is expected to form the base for Urus too. With the investment and development costs being shared by so many models under different brands, parent Volkswagen would enjoy huge economies of scale resulting in a massive cost benefit, thus making a perfect business proposition.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Spyder Unveiled

The new 2012 rear wheel drive Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Spyder has been unveiled.  As an entry level Gallardo the LP 550-2 Spyder is currently the cheapest open-top model on the market. It combines open-air driving with the 5,204cc V10′s 550bhp directed to the rear wheels, instead of all four.
With 550 horsepower the Spyder jumps to 62mph in just 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 198mph. Performance is boosted by the loss of four-wheel drive, bringing dry kerb weight down to 1520kg.


It has 45% locking rear differential and a different Corsa setting on the electronic safety systems, allowing greater drift angles, redeveloped ESP stability control, retuned dampers and altered aero balance to cope with the Gallardo’s rear-wheel drive set-up.
Stephan Winkelmann, president and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said that “This will appeal in particular to a very special group of customers that enjoy a spirited driving style and also like to experience the sheer pleasure of open- air driving. This special model with rear-wheel drive is a logical expansion of our line-up of spyder models with all-wheel drive.”
